Growing up too fast!

For about the last week, whenever I feed EJ she always reaches for the spoon. Usually I don't let her grab the spoon unless she is finished eating so I don't have a huge mess on my hands, however today I decided that someday soon she will have to learn to eat on her own so I handed over the spoon. And I am glad I did :)

I put some food on her spoon and let her feed it to herself. When she needed some more butternut squash on her spoon I brought the jar over to her so she could dip the spoon into it and get some more. I guess she figured she can just drink all her food because that is exactly what she did! She lifted the jar to her lips and started to sip! It was so cute...and messy! I will just have to get used to the fact that kids make messes and learn to enjoy it!
